Russia is exploring the possibility of creating a port in one of the African countries to manage the flow of Russian goods with other countries on the continent. Roman Chekushov, the director of the Department of International Cooperation and Licensing in Foreign Trade of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, announced this at the international industrial exhibition “Innoprom. Central Asia,” as reported by TASS.
He noted that a potential port could be established in one of four countries: Tanzania, Senegal, Algeria, or Egypt.
“We have several projects in Africa that need to be implemented soon. One of them is the creation of a port in one of the African countries for the import of Russian products, for the organization of cargo flow. Currently, we are considering several countries for the possible establishment of such ports. We are interested in entry from the eastern side – primarily countries like Tanzania, for example. We are also interested in entry from the western side – we primarily cooperate with Senegal, where the largest volume of cargo flow from the Russian Federation is, and our products are well known there, so it is quite logical,” he said, adding that possibilities in Algeria and Egypt are also being considered.
Rusya, Afrika kıtasındaki diğer ülkelerle Rus mallarının akışını yönetmek için bir liman oluşturma olasılığını araştırıyor. Rusya Sanayi ve Ticaret Bakanlığı Uluslararası İşbirliği ve Lisanslama Departmanı Direktörü Roman Chekushov, TASS’ın bildirdiği gibi, uluslararası sanayi fuarı “Innoprom. Orta Asya”da bunu duyurdu.
