In Nenets Autonomousrug (NAO), restrictions have been introduced on the employment of foreign citizens working under patents in certain sectors the economy. According to the resolution of March 25, 2024, No. 11-pg, the ban applies to work on sea freight transport and cargo handling. Trading, taxi services, and freight transportation are also prohibited.
The purpose of this document is to ensure priority employment for Russian citizens, stabilize the migration situation, and prevent potential conflicts. However, foreigners residing in the NAO with a residence permit or temporary residence permit, as well as citizens of the Eurasian Economic Union countries (Kazakhstan, Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan) are not subject to this restriction.
Business entities are required to reduce the number of foreign workers in accordance with the resolution within three months.
